10.12.2010 UPDATE:
Check this link, Android 2.2 (Froyo) is available for T-Mobile Pulse!

T-Mobile Hungary released the official 2.1 update for T-Mobile Pulse. I believe that in the next few days it will be released all around the world where the Pulse is sold.

Just below this text you can see the manual which explains how to upgrade your Pulse (Huawei U8220).

First, very important, back up all your data!

Do the update only with well charged battery or connect the charger during update! Do not remove the battery and the do not turn off the phone while doing the upgrade, in a few parts of the upgrade your screen will be stuck for a few minutes, be patient!
  1. Download the update file
  2. Unzip the file to a location of your choice on your computer
  3. Copy the dload folder and all its contents to the root directory of your MICRO SD card
  4. On your Pulse, go to the Main menu, then select Settings
  5. Within Settings select SD card & phone storage
  6. Scroll down, under the Internal phone storage section select Software upgrade, and choose SD card Upgrade
  7. The upgrade process will give you several warnings which you need to confirm to continue
  8. Then press the Upgrade option to begin the update
  9. As the update progresses you will see several screens along with a progress bar
  10. Once complete you will see a confirmation screen, and your Pulse will automatically restart
Important! After installing the new software, the available free memory will be reduced to 40 MB (additional storage space stored in the device).

Be careful! You can not go back to the 1.5 December update, after installing this 2.1 update.

Download link corrected, sorry for the inconvenience.
